The methods to be followed in case the PCR tests of the students and/or instructors are positive in the courses conducted with the face-to-face teaching method in the Fall Semester of the 2021-2022 Academic Year :
1. If one or more students in a class are positive;
a) If the student wishes to watch the courses with the distance education method during the periods of his/her health report, he/she submits the petition containing the request and the attached health report to the Dean's Office/Directorate,
b) The student's report and request are evaluated in the Board of Directors. Courses can be followed by distance education method, with the decision of the Board of Directors, within the reported periods,
c) The Dean's Office / Directorates notify the Administrative Board of the decision and the courses to be taken by the distance education method and the students who will take the courses to the Distance Education Center in an official letter,
ç) In face-to-face lessons, the instructor broadcasts the lesson he gives in the classroom live on Adobe Connect or Zoom on DYS for positive students to follow the lesson, or he can record the lesson as a video and share it on the lesson page in DYS within 24 hours at the latest,
d) Students who are diagnosed as positive during the midterm exam period are taken to the make-up exam after the quarantine period ends.
2. If instructor is positive;
a) The instructor notifies the Dean/Directorate of the medical report and the request to conduct the course remotely during the quarantine or to make up at the end of the quarantine period,
b) The Board of Directors of the relevant unit evaluates the request of the instructor,
c) The Dean's Office/Directorates can send the decision of the Executive Board to the Distance Education Center in an official letter. If the instructor is in good health, he will conduct his lessons remotely using Adobe Connect during this period or make up for these lessons after the quarantine period is completed,
ç) In the conduct of distance education courses, the provisions of the Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Directive on Courses to be Taught by Distance Education Method, which was accepted with the decision of our University Senate dated 25/08/2021 and numbered 611/2, are valid.
